will pomegranate trees make edible fruit in zone 7 ?
I want to grow a pomegranate tree in Zone 6b-7 . Will it make ripe fruit in this zone ? I love the fruit , but more on the fresh side since I grew up in Asia. The fruit in the stores here are not as sweet as what I grew up with and a little on the old side compared. I started my own garden last year to make cooking my favorite dishes easier in the area I live. Many veggies and fruit I enjoy are not available in my area. I was surprised to find many of the things I like will grow in the area I live. I have read about pomegranates, but am unsure if they will produce edible fruit in my area.

They will live in Zone 7. Zone 6 is questionable. If you have cool summers your pomegranate may not bear fruit well. As to winters plant the pomegranate tree along a south-facing masonry wall. At night the wall will release stored warmth and help the pomegranate tree make it through the cold nights.

I want to grow some fruit bearing trees at my house to help me be more of an organic person I live on a farm and I plan to plant an olive tree a cherry tree a peach tree an apricot tree and a few other fruit bearing trees . I just need to know when to plant them

The orchard says it will grow in zones 7 -10, but I want to make sure it will flourish and produce fruit . I am right on the border of zone 7 -8 and in a moist climate.

I am in zone 7 has not gotten fruit yet, had this banana plant for 6 years now, before it freezes I do cover it up.

I know there are a lot of varieties of different fruit tree’s out there, I would appreciate specific names of fruit tree’s not just apple but the type that you personally know taste REALLY good. Thank you =) This is for zone 7 OKLAHOMA

Online site to order 2 or 3 good quality peach trees,cherry trees,apricot etc. Not Henry Fields to expensive!?
Time to order seed, tree & garden plants. I just want a couple Trugold Peach Trees , 2 Apricot trees , Strawberries, and a Cherry tree. Henry Fields to so expensive, but they do guarantee. I have ordered from them before but just wondered if there was another well known established Seed & Nursery Company that has competitive prices. One that will order & deliver online. Don’t want to order in bulk my yard is small. Any suggestions on type of fruit trees would help too I am in zone 7 (Arkansas). Please share your knowledge & experience with me but only if you have dealt with that particular Nursery in the past and know for a fact they are high quality. Please give me the link or Company’s name.

I’ve been a Landscaper and Greenhouse manager for along time and I will tell you that Gurney’s and Henry Fields are about as good as it gets for the price/quality/guarantee ratio. Those 2 places are your best bet. I’ve been using them with great success for years and have a well filled yard. They back up what they sell. Even the smaller standard and not the standard deluxe do well.
I have bought from Michigan Bulb and they sell trees as well, but not nearly the variety. Most of their plants are strong, too, and they have a good warranty, but the perennials are tiny!
You might also see NationalArborDay.org. My mother uses them and is a member. She’s been pretty happy.
